Never disclose your identity information (name, address, date of birth etc) to people on the internet, whom you do not know.

Never disclose your credit card number or personal information like PAN, bank account details etc over the phone unless you have initiated the call and trust that business.

Note down details of the credit/debit cards you have like 16-digit number, CVV no, date of expiry, card type (Master/VISA/American Express), contact phone number of the card issuing banks etc and preserve them in a safe place for quick reference in case your card is lost or stolen.
